Ice climbing in Romsdalen and Oppdal!

Join guided ice climbing tours in Romsdalen and Oppdal – a fantastic and large area for ice climbing, with routes to suit all levels. The area has some of the most spectacular ice formations in the country, perhaps even in all of Scandinavia. Examples of tours we guide are Kongsvollsfossen, Jukulkula and Skirifossen .

Ice climbing with a guide is not only a safe way to explore this slightly different activity, but also a learning opportunity. Maybe you just need someone to lead you up the steep and challenging ice.

The tours are adapted to your level, from beginners to experienced climbers, with a focus on both safety and adventure. Experience the Norwegian winter in raw nature and try your hand at ice climbing in safe conditions.

    • Good physical fitness – you should be able to walk at a fast pace uphill on rough terrain.

    • Experience from ice climbing.

    • Knowledge of climbing (belaying, climbing, etc.)

    • Have read our booking conditions and signed self-declaration .

  • Depending on your wishes and season/conditions, we will climb in and around Romsdalen, or further inland if the conditions are better there. Oppdal is about two hours from Romsdalen and offers a very stable ice climbing season with many nice ice falls. The days are used entirely for ice climbing, and some of the trips have a slightly longer approach than others – up to two hours.
