Climbing in Romsdalen - Norway's peak capital!

Romsdalen offers a wide range of climbing experiences — alpine, sport and trad — so there is something for all levels and interests. In the valley you will find everything from classic alpine targets and trad climbing to sport climbing, long multi-pitch routes and bouldering.

And if you want to become more independent - we also arrange climbing and glacier courses!

Multi-pitch climbing
For those who want longer and more technical routes, we offer magnificent multipitch experiences. Classic routes such as Klauva, Drømmediederet, Mongejura and the local gem Hornaksla provide varied, airy and challenging climbing experiences.

Climbing course
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, we have courses to suit you. Choose from rescue courses, advanced courses, technical climbing or trad climbing — we adapt the courses to your level and needs. The courses can also be followed according to Swedish standards (SKF standard) for climbing training.

Alpine climbing
The area offers iconic peaks such as Vengetindtraversen, Kvanndalstind, Romsdalshorn, Bispen, Store Trolltind and Juratind. We will guide you safely through the mountains with favorites such as Østryggen on Bispen, Vengetindtraversen and Nordøstryggen on Store Trolltind.

Glacier course
Do you want to cross glaciers and learn vital safety? Our glacier courses give you ropework skills and techniques for safe glacier travel — both summer and winter — a must for anyone pursuing alpine climbing or ski touring on skis.
