Program proposal

Day 1 – Arrival day
Arrival at Hotel Aak. In the evening we meet for a brief review of equipment, planning and expectations for the coming days.

Day 2 – Full day in the mountains
After a lovely Aak breakfast, we start the day with trip planning – reviewing maps, avalanche warnings and weather forecasts before setting off on our trip. We adapt the day to the group’s level and wishes. Along the way, we focus on avalanche search, rescue and recognizing avalanche terrain. After the trip, a sauna, après-ski snacks and a delicious dinner made from local ingredients by the hotel’s skilled chefs await.

Day 3 – New day, new opportunities
After nok After a good breakfast we head out again for a hike. Today's topic is snow knowledge, assessment, route selection and further practice in avalanche rescue. Of course we are hunting for the best – and safest – snow! Before dinner we gather for a short theory session where we summarize and discuss questions from the days in the mountains.

Day 4 – Return Day
Closing day with a shorter ski tour that you are responsible for planning - a perfect way to test what you have learned!
