The cold snap has set in, the nights are clear, and the waterfalls have built solid, blue ice lines from the valley floor all the way up the mountainside. The ice lines in Romsdalen must be among the most spectacular waterfalls in the whole country – indeed, perhaps in all of Scandinavia and Europe. Here you will find everything: from long, clean ice routes up to 800 meters, to beautiful cragging and freestanding, aesthetic pillars. The variety is enormous, and the combination of fjord views, steep mountain sides and a distinct alpine feel makes the area completely unique.
